22 August 2016 Bangladesh pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman reached Dhaka at around eleven am today. The pacer had undergone a surgery on his left shoulder in London last week and is expected to take at least four to five months to get back on the field.

Following his arrival he told reporters that he was doing fine and that he had already started doing a few rehabilitation exercises. “There is no pain in my arm. By the grace of God I am doing well now. My focus now will be to work on my rehab. I will start my rehab in four weeks time. And after that I will be better. Hopefully I will be able to get back to the field soon. I hope everyone prays for me so that I can get back soon,” he said.

According to the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s medical team, Mustafizur won’t be taking part in any major rehabilitation exercises this month. He will mostly be taking part in a few range of motion exercises, which include the slight movement of his hand. The main work will begin from next month.

Earlier, the pacer had gone to London to take play for Sussex. However, after playing two games, a recurring shoulder issue began to irritate him again. In order to fix the problem once and for all, the BCB decided that the bowler should go under the knife. The surgery was conducted on August 11, after which he stayed for a week longer as per the doctor’s instructions.
