PM off to Japan to attend G7 Outreach Meeting

26 May 2016 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for Tokyo this morning to attend the G7 Outreach Meeting in Ise-Shima.

A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:10am.

Noore Elahi Mina, assistant press secretary to the premier, who is accompanying the PM, told The Daily Star.

The premier will discuss bilateral and international issues with several world leaders during the meeting.

Hasina would play leadership role in four issues -- health, women empowerment, achieving sustainable development goals and cooperation in building advanced infrastructure -- at the meeting to be participated by seven heads of states and governments.
